Event Venue Policies

  • All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

  • By using a ticket to enter the CCYAA Celebrity Classic venue, the ticket holder agrees to being photographed, filmed, or recorded in the event venue, and to the publication, reproduction, sales use, distribution, and broadcast of all photographs, video, or other recordings of the ticket holder's voice or likeness without further notice or compensation in any publicity, advertisement, or other publication carried out by, or on behalf of, CCYAA or CCYAA’s Youth Jamboree Partner, the Invisalign brand, in perpetuity in any manner and media whatsoever, including print, broadcast, or digital.

    By using a ticket to attend Festival screenings and events, the user waives and releases CCYAA from all claims he/she/they may have against CCYAA for any loss, damage, injury, liability, or expense he/she/they may suffer, arising from his/her/their presence at the event venue due to any reason whatsoever, including those arising from personal injury, property loss/damage, or death.

  • Each person attending an event must produce a valid event ticket, pass or authorized credential for that event or game. Once a fan has exited the building, they are not allowed re-entry into the facility.

    For our event, Paperless Tickets are sold through Goldring’s UofT ticketing site directly. A person purchasing Paperless Tickets is given a confirmation of their purchase. They will then have to present the QR code card on their mobile phone for entry the day of the event.

    Printed physical tickets will not be valid. Please ensure you are able to open it on your mobile device.

  • Children 24 months and under may enter without a ticket but must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. All children over 24 months MUST have a valid ticket for a specific seat location. This policy is subject to change based on the event.

  • We strive to make it as easy as possible to purchase accessible seating tickets at our venues. Accessible seating areas are solely for persons with disabilities and their companions.

    Please contact the CCYAA (celebrityclassic@ccyaa.org) regarding inquiries regarding accessibility seats. The ticket will be used only by a person with a disability and his/her companion. A ticket holder may be denied entry to or removed from an accessible seating area if he or she or the legitimate companion does not have a disability. If this occurs, Goldring Centre and the CCYAA shall have no obligation to provide alternate seating.

  • There are currently no COVID-19 vaccination requirements for fans within Goldring Centre.

    While the province of Ontario has lifted the mask mandate, we strongly encourage masks to be worn within the facility in order to protect fans, volunteers, and players.

  • There is no designated event parking. Limited parking is available on the street, as well as nearby Green P parking lots.

    Public transportation is encouraged and advised as there may be limited parking close to the venue. Fans may take the Yonge/University subway line to St. George station, which is within easy walking distance to Goldring Centre. Fans from outlying areas of Metro Toronto can take the GO Transit to Union and then the TTC Subway line afterwards to St George Station.

  • To protect our fans, event personnel and participants a restricted bag policy is in place at Goldring.

    Large bags, purses, backpacks, etc are not permitted - however, fans will be able to carry the following into the event and facilities:

    Small purse type bags smaller than 16.5cm x 11.5cm (6.5”x4.5”), with or without a handle or strap – small clutch bag

    Fans carrying bags that do not meet the criteria WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ENTRY. If for any reason (medical or other) you require a bag that does not adhere to the bag policy, entry will be permitted subject to contacting CCYAA/Event Personnel for security inspection, including x-ray inspection of the bag and contents.

  • Camera flashes may not be used at any time during the event. Cameras with detachable lenses are strictly prohibited. Video cameras, and Selfie Sticks are not permitted.

  • We strongly recommend that you obtain your tickets for the events from the U of T Ticket Portal. We are unable to guarantee the validity of tickets purchased from third-party sources. We cannot honour counterfeit/invalid tickets. Any fan who, knowingly or unknowingly, gains entry using invalid tickets will be subject to ejection without compensation.

  • The CCYAA and Goldring Centre is committed to providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our fans and guests. The CCYAA is committed to providing courteous and professional service. Everyone should expect and help to promote an environment where people are treated in a courteous, professional, considerate and respectful manner by all fans, arena staff, team and event personnel, performers, players and other guests. Accordingly, CCYAA will not tolerate unsafe, abusive, unlawful or offensive conduct in our venue/event.

  • Alcohol Management

    Our goal is to promote responsible alcohol service and enhance fan safety and enjoyment. 

    Rules and Regulations Governing Alcohol Management at Goldring Centre:

    Alcohol from outside the building cannot be brought in.

    Any person found inside the building with alcohol not purchased in Goldring is subject to immediate ejection.

    A person may not enter the building in an intoxicated state.

    Intoxication in a public place is a criminal offence.

    Any person found on the property in an intoxicated state will be removed from the premises.

    Any person purchasing, possessing, or consuming alcohol must be 19 years of age or older and must be able to produce acceptable photo I.D. proving their age.

    Acceptable forms of photo I.D. at Goldring  Centre  are valid driver’s licence; Age of Majority Card; Armed Forces Card; Passport; Canadian Citizenship Card; MTO Issued Photo ID; Canadian Permanent Resident Card; Native Status card.

  • As a security measure, no re-entry is permitted after you have exited the Goldring Centre gates.

  • Animals or pets are not permitted at Goldring Centre, with the exception of service animals for fans with disabilities. A service animal is defined as any animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, and can be identified as such. Fans entering our venue with a service animal will be required to provide documentation upon request.

  • Posters and signs must not exceed 11” x 17” in size (standard legal paper). Posters and signs must not hinder, distract, or interfere with the view of other fans and must not be obscene or in poor taste. Commercial, political, or negative messages are not permitted. They must not cover or distract from permanent signage or block broadcast cameras. Fans are not permitted to use or wave banners, signs or other items that are affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material. In keeping with our Code of Conduct, and our goal to promote an environment that is considerate and respectful to everyone, CCYAA reserves the right to remove any banner/sign deemed inappropriate or used in an unacceptable manner.

  • Goldring Centre and CCYAA have a strict no smoking policy. As with cigarettes, cannabis can be brought into the building, but is not to be consumed or used inside our venue at any time. Smoking of any kind will result in ejection from the facility. Goldring Centre has a strict no in/out policy. In/out privileges will be granted if proper medical documentation is presented to security for personal consumption ONLY. Please note that if you are in possession of cannabis for recreational use, edibles will not be granted entry into our venue and it cannot be used at any time while in our facility.

  • Goldring Centre does not offer a coat check service. Please note that Goldring Centre and the CCYAA are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

  • Elevators are available immediately after entering the ticket scanning area. Elevators connect the public washrooms, mezzanine, court lobby level, and ground levels.

  • There will be a concession stand open during the event. Openings and times vary with each event. Please inquire directly with concessions staff at the venue (day of) for any questions. Alcohol will not be available at the concession stand, there are private licensed areas which are not available for general access.

    Note: Outside food and beverage are not permitted into the building.

  • Doors will open at 5:00PM (EST). Please check the event detail page to confirm. Security measures will be conducted at the ticket gate, please allow yourself extra time for getting through our gates.

  • If you notice a spill or other housekeeping concerns please contact a Goldring or CCYAA event staff member.

  • There is zero tolerance for laser pointers at the event. If a fan is caught using a laser pointer, batteries will be confiscated. Repeat offenders will be subject to ejection from the event.

  • Media Access to Goldring will be in the main lobby entrance. Media access is ONLY available to pre-approved individuals. There are no walk-in media requests. A CCYAA Media representative will check you at the entrance and hand you your credentials. The designated media area during the game will be on the West side of the mezzanine level.

  • Our security staff will be on duty throughout the building and on the grounds during events. If you need assistance, notify a member of our security staff immediately

  • For safety reasons, fans are refused entry if they are in possession of prohibited items. Illegal items will be turned over to Toronto Police. If a fan is found in the facility with prohibited items, the items will be confiscated and in some cases, the fan may be ejected from the building.

    Prohibited Items include (but are not limited to):

    bags (Please refer to our bag policy)

    bottles

    cans

    coolers

    sticks/flagpoles

    aerosol cans

    weapons (including pocket knives)

    fireworks*

    skateboards

    rollerblades

    roller-skates

    alcohol/outside food or beverage**

    illegal drugs or noxious substances

    cameras, sound and/or video recording devices as per event restrictions (see also Cameras, Video Cameras, Audio Recorders)

    helium balloons

    stolen tickets.

    bags or luggage

    * Please note that pocket knives will not be returned should these be confiscated by Goldring/Event security

  • Public transportation is encouraged and advised as there may be limited parking close to the venue. Fans may take the Yonge/University subway line to St. George station, which is within easy walking distance to Goldring Centre. Fans from outlying areas of Metro Toronto can take the GO Transit to Union and then the TTC Subway line afterwards.

  • Qualified designated security personnel are required to perform wand searches of all patrons entering the building. Additionally, some events may involve pat-down searches that will only be performed by qualified designated security personnel. Fans that refuse to submit to either a wand, visual or pat-down search shall be refused entry and may not be eligible for a refund on their ticket purchase.

    PLEASE NOTE OUR BAG POLICY:

    Small purse type bags smaller than 16.5cm x 11.5cm (6.5”x4.5”), with or without a handle or strap – small clutch bags are permitted.

    However any bags larger than the mentioned dimensions and ALL backpacks will not be allowed into the building. Permitted bags should be soft sided and do not obstruct the view or seat of another fan around you.

  • Goldring Centre a smoke-free building*, including all areas, suites and lounges of the facility. Goldring and the CCYAA are committed to the health and safety of our event personnel, volunteers, our fans and everyone visiting our premises.

    Fans wishing to leave the building to smoke will not be allowed back in the building, per the re-entry policy. Please note: anyone found smoking inside Goldring Centre will be immediately ejected from the arena and subject to the maximum fines as per Ontario's Smoke-Free Act.

    * This also includes the use of electronic cigarettes

  • During the event, there may be instances where fans may stand, such as during a performance, or during basketball game play. On those occasions, fans who are standing are asked to continue being respectful to others around them and to only stand immediately in front of their designated seat. Standing on seats or any other building structure is not permitted. Those who choose to do so will be subject to ejection without a refund.

  • Please do not bring strollers to the venue, we do not have an attended area to store strollers. Strollers will not be permitted within the court.

  • Public washrooms are located on level B2, below the court level. This is accessible by stairs or the elevators.
