CCYAA Outstanding Youth Scholarship Award

            CCYAA is proud to announce the release of the CCYAA Outstanding Youth Scholarship Award presented from CCYAA- Leung Law Trust Scholarships.   The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage youths in the Chinese community to be well-rounded individuals.

 

            CCYAA would like to recognize two young students (one female and one male) who possess academic excellence combined with achievements in high-level athletic competition, while being active in serving the community through volunteerism.   

            Previous recipients of the CCYAA Outstanding Youth Scholarship Award have gone to many prestigious individuals who have made a difference in the community.   Such individuals include Steve Kung, a University of Toronto men's volleyball player who played on the 2006 Canadian Junior Men's National Team and Jackelyn Lau, a member of the OBA Sultan Prospects and CCYAA women's basketball team.

The deadline to register is April 26, 2009; the winners will be announced at the CCYAA Annual Sports Banquet and Charity Auction on May 3rd, 2009.
