Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion
The Communities In Action Fund (CIAF) aims to help bring about a physical activity and community sport culture in Ontario by helping local and provincial not-for-profit organizations provide and enhance opportunities for physical activity and community sport and recreation. This initiative is a key piece of ACTIVE2010: Ontario’s Sport and Physical Activity Strategy that aims to help Ontarians be more physically active. Raptors FoundationThe Raptors Foundation has provided funding for many of the CCYAA's youth initiatives including spon soring the CCYAA 18 & under boys team to compete in the North American Chinese Basketball Tournament. In addition, the Raptors Foundation has also provided CCYAA youth with the opportunity to meet role models such as Toronto Raptor players and coaches. Toronto RaptorsThe Toronto Raptors Basketball Club works with the CCYAA on numerous projects and initiatives. Some of these include: Special Chinese theme nights at Raptors games, Bell Raptorball Youth Leagues which have to date, trained over 1000 Chinese youth in the GTA and the first live regular season coverage of NBA games in Chinese through a partnership with TCCBC, a local Chinese radio station.
