As part of a radio special for Toronto Chinese Radio, Clement Chu, Wing Tai Lam and Ronald Yeung were on hand in L.A. this past weekend covering the sights and sounds of the All-Star Weekend.

Here is Ron's take:

Celebrities, NBA stars, models, fine restaurants, $12 drinks, traffic… my first trip to L.A. was everything I expected and more. The annual NBA All-Star weekend took place this past weekend in beautiful Los Angeles. Myself, along with Clement and Tai had the privilege to take part in this prestigious annual event. Although we were only there for four days, L.A. embraced us with such a wonderful experience that the memories will certainly last me a life time. As part of the Toronto Chinese Radio special broadcast team covering the NBA All-Star weekend, the media credentials allowed us courtside access, locker room availability, not to mention free food and line by-pass into the arena. From watching rehearsals of anthem singers such as Nelly Furtado and Christina Aguilera to seeing all the big names of entertainment like Beyonce, P.Diddy, Jay-Z, Paris Hilton, Cuba Gooding Jr., Will Smith… the list goes on and on. After the game, we were able to sneak into the locker room and hang out with Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Garnett… did I mention Yao? The NBA Jam Session was another big attraction for basketball fans. A convention hall full of activities, along with everything and anything you can imagine relating to basketball. From 3-point shoot out competition, to NBA full size players made entirely by LEGO, and finally the line-up to the infamous NBA store. I couldn't resist myself but to purchase my very own Yao Ming All-Star jersey. All in all, the NBA All-Star weekend was everything it cracked up to be… the hype, the glamour, the red carpet… I wouldn't trade that experience for anything else in the world.
