In order to develop future leaders in the community, the CCYAA Leadership Development Program (LDP) selects and works with top youth by providing training and experience, giving them the necessary skills and expertise to become leaders in the community.

CCYAA periodically organizes one-day seminars and special events geared towards exposing youth to the many leadership opportunities that exist. These events often involve special guest speakers and leaders from the community.

To encourage and support youth in the Chinese community to be well-rounded individuals, CCYAA annually recognizes two young students (one male and one female) who possess academic excellence combined with achievements in high-level athletic competition, while being active in serving the community through volunteerism.
